Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2026 · This mirrors the policy shown inside the PickleMeet app.

PickleMeet is a web app that helps pickleball communities run and join open-play sessions. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why we collect it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have. PickleMeet is operated by Technocom in the Philippines, and we handle your data in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run open play and the community features you use:

  • Your account: your full name, email address, a securely hashed password, gender (used to draw your cartoon avatar), your self-rated skill level, an optional nickname (the name others see), and an optional profile photo.
  • Your play: check-ins to sessions, game results (win or loss), leaderboard and win-rate stats, and your My Pickleball Journey progress — skills you tick off, missions, badges, level and points.
  • Community activity: chat messages, photos you share in a session or in private chats, emoji reactions, and Say Hi / wave requests.
  • Basic device info: your connection status (online/offline) so the app can sync gracefully, and your screen size so the layout fits your phone or laptop.
  • Payment mode label only: when you check in to a paid session you tap which method you used to pay the organizer (GCash, Maya, Bank, or Cash). This is stored as a label for the organizer's records — PickleMeet does not process payments and never sees or handles any financial or card details.

How we use your information

  • To run the open-play queue and court rotation fairly for everyone.
  • To show your stats, the leaderboard, and your My Pickleball Journey.
  • To power community features like session chat, profiles, and Say Hi.
  • To answer your questions, provide support, and act on your feedback.
  • To keep the app reliable and to improve how it works.

How we store and protect it

  • PickleMeet runs entirely on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections (including a secure database and secure cloud storage), and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.
  • Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash — we never keep your password in plain text and cannot read it.
  • Photos are compressed on your device before upload and stored in secure cloud storage. Photos shared in a session's chat are automatically deleted 15 days after that session ends.
  • Your My Pickleball Journey records are kept safe and are only removed if you delete your account.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We do not share it with third parties for advertising. Your data is only handled by:

  • Trusted third-party service providers who help operate the app (hosting and email delivery).
  • Our secure email service, used only to send account-verification and password-reset messages from no-reply@picklemeet.net.

Within a session, organizers see the information they need to run play: your display name (not your full name), your skill level, and your game stats. Your display name also appears publicly on leaderboards, rosters, and in chat.

Your choices and rights

  • You can view your own data any time inside the app — your dashboard, stats, and My Pickleball Journey.
  • You can change your display name / nickname whenever you like in your profile.
  • You can permanently delete your account under Settings → Delete Account. This removes your personal data and your Journey records for good.
  • For any other data request, email us at support@picklemeet.net and we'll help.

Children

PickleMeet is intended for players aged 13 and older (or the minimum age required where you live). We do not knowingly collect information from children under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Cookies and local storage

PickleMeet uses your browser's local storage and a secure sign-in token to keep you logged in and to remember your app settings. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app grows. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use PickleMeet after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
